Meet Brittany Chavez - Part of Our New American Family

Brittany Chavez has been with the New American Funding for the last 2 years, where she works in the Long Beach and Huntington Beach branches as a Marketing Assistant. Prior to starting with our family, Brittany didn’t have any mortgage industry experience and was very eager to get involved. She found the Marketing Assistant position through Cal State University Long Beach’s career website. When she applied for the position, she lacked mortgage experience but when she interviewed for the position, she knew it was a perfect fit!
In her free time, she enjoys engaging with her community and taking an hour out of her day to decompress by attending yoga. When she’s not attending yoga, she enjoys spending her weekends with her family in the San Fernando Valley. Her father is Chicano and her mother is white and Jewish, so she grew up celebrating both cultures equally and it has made her passionate about diversity and inclusiveness.
Her favorite genre of music is hip-hop and rap and her favorite restaurant is El Pollo Imperial because of their Saltado de Camaron and definitely recommends trying this restaurant, if you haven’t already! Traveling is also Brittany’s biggest motivator in life and she wants to travel the entire world. Her favorite city in the United States is Washington, D.C. and her favorite destination thus far is Coast Rica due to their culture and lifestyle.

Within my 2 years of working here, I have had the opportunity to win an OLA Marketing Diamond Award, join Patty Arvielo’s mentorship program and set new personal goals such as homeownership. I challenge myself to plan, schedule, and execute each Loan Officer’s marketing campaign for the quarter, so that I don’t miss any trending topics. I chose to work at New American Funding because I liked the ability to implement what I learned in college in a creative way. I immersed myself in marketing and the mortgage industry simultaneously while helping my coworkers increase business. 3 wins all around! I would also recommend New American Funding to ALL my friends graduating from Cal State University Long Beach because of the innovative marketing department, opportunity for growth and genuine fun I have while working. I enjoy the ability of making mortgages fun and exciting for consumers.”
