About Mills Landon

Mills Landon brings more than 25 years of experience in mortgage originations to his role as Chief Financial Officer for New American Funding. Throughout his career, Mills has served in executive and senior leadership roles for independent mortgage banks, appraisal management companies, and other financial firms.

In his role at NAF, Mills leads the company’s Accounting, Finance, and Analytics teams, and serves as the co-leader of the Vendor Management group. As CFO, Mills focuses on optimizing NAF’s financial results, while partnering with business leaders to create a more efficient and effective customer experience.

At NAF, Mills is leveraging extensive subject matter expertise in proprietary and 3rd party FinTech, identifying opportunities to improve process efficiency and expand financial transparency to drive down loan manufacturing costs.   

Most recently, Mills served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Strategy Officer for a top-15 mortgage lender. In these roles, Mills transformed the digital ecosystem, working closely with all areas of the business to engage the right 3rd party vendors, maximize return on investment, improve internal and external customer experiences, and position the organization for scalable growth in a rapidly changing marketplace. 

Mills brings a unique perspective to financial management. Over the course of his career, he has decades of experience leading large groups, including more than 10 years managing both consumer direct and retail mortgage origination teams. End-to-end experience across the origination lifecycle enables Mills to be a trusted liaison between Corporate teams and their Production partners.
