Divisional Executive Vice President, Southwest Division, New American Funding

Tim Sorenson serves as Divisional Executive Vice President for New American Funding's Southwest retail division, bringing more than 20 years of industry expertise to his role.

He is responsible for accelerating growth and implementing strategic recruiting initiatives to drive revenue expansion, and works to attract, retain, and develop top performers, ensuring that New American Funding is the first choice for the industry’s best talent. Under his leadership Sorenson and his team focus on achieving sales growth while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Sorenson joined New American Funding in 2025, energized by the opportunity to contribute to a company that is growing, forward-thinking, and people-first, which aligns to his personal and professional values and vision.

Prior to joining New American Funding, Sorenson served as Divisional EVP for the Western U.S. at Rate and was the Director of Residential Lending at Luther Burbank Savings. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from California State University, Fullerton.
