Chris Shelton serves as Divisional Executive Vice President for New American Funding's Southeast retail division, bringing more than 20 years of industry expertise to his role. He is responsible for driving business growth and is committed to fostering the development of loan officers to achieve both personal and professional success.

Under his leadership, Shelton and his team prioritize delivering exceptional service to clients and referral partners through personalized mortgage solutions designed to make sustainable homeownership achievable.

Shelton joined New American Funding in 2025, drawn to the company’s commitment to championing originators and its collaborative culture, which aligns with his own professional values.

Prior to joining New American Funding, Shelton held senior leadership positions at other prominent mortgage companies, where he oversaw large teams of loan officers and managed substantial loan volumes. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations with a minor in Business from East Carolina University.
