Robert, Jem, and Katherine were amazing. The issue was with underwriters who circled around and around reverifying Things that were already verified. The process took 3+ months. They constantly requested the same information over and over. It seemed like my file was bouncing from one person to another and verification would start all over again. My prior lender must've sent at least 5 different payoffs. My employer verified my employment and income at least 4-5 times. Every time we would complete one task, they would ask again for something we had already covered. I could not get a list of things required to tackle all at once. There was never a list of items sent no matter how many times I asked. I was extremely prompt at supplying needed documentation , usually within 24 hours I had sent everything asked. I called corporate 3-4 separate times asking for a supervisor or manager to call me. No one called me back on any of my requests. I don't know exactly which department held up my loan, but there was grave mishandling of my file throughout the process. This entire process was the mmore stressful than any of the other homes I have purchased, and this was just a refinance. It also caused me to acquire more debts rather than eliminating them due to NAF not holding to a closing date and almost losing my home insurance. This was the most unpleasant experience. If I would not have been so invested already after the first 2 months, I would not have closed the loan. My faith and trust in NAF handling another purchase or refi have desperately been diminished after my experience.
