Meggan Jensen | Home Mortgage Advisor
Born and raised in Council Bluffs, I’m proud to call this community home. After graduating from Abraham Lincoln High School, I went on to earn a double major in Marketing and Transportation & Logistics from Iowa State University—where I discovered the power of community involvement through Greek Life as a member of Alpha Gamma Delta. Between committee work, volunteering, and lifelong friendships, my four years at ISU were unforgettable. Go Cyclones!
After college, I took what I like to call the scenic route to the mortgage industry. My career path included copier sales, coordinating drivers nationwide as a dispatcher for a national trucking company, and even bartending—where I perfected the art of listening, multitasking, and problem-solving. In 2002, fate led me to mortgages, and I began my career with a mortgage broker in Kansas City.
In 2007, I returned to my roots with my 8-month-old son, a love of Kansas City BBQ, loyalty to the KC Chiefs, and a deep passion for helping others achieve homeownership. I joined Liberty Bank as a Mortgage Banker, where I was warmly welcomed back into the Council Bluffs community—a place where neighbors know each other, local businesses are supported, and the occasional block party is still a thing.
While I’ve helped hundreds of families purchase their first or forever homes, my own experience as a homeowner shaped how I show up professionally. In 2009, as a single mother with less-than-perfect financial decisions from my younger years, I truly understood the emotional and financial weight of homeownership. That journey gave me empathy, perspective, and a deep belief that life happens—and sometimes you need someone firmly in your corner to help you understand credit, budgeting, next steps, and long-term wealth building.
Today, I’m a very proud mom to my incredible son, Bryson, who has graduated from high school and is now navigating his own career path. He is my “why” and the motivation behind everything I do. Our home also includes Artie, our stubborn Chihuahua and self-appointed boss, who runs on snacks, attention, and strong opinions. I manage it all with humor, caffeine, and the occasional emergency chocolate stash.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me spending time with family and friends, supporting small businesses, or cheering on my teams during football season—whether it’s the Cyclones on Saturdays or the Chiefs on Sundays. Wins are celebrated loudly; losses are processed quietly with a good book.
With over 20 years of experience as a mortgage advisor, I continue to learn and grow in an ever-changing industry. I am excited to join NAF (New American Funding), where education, transparency, and strong operational support allow me to serve my clients at the highest level while continuing to build meaningful, long-term relationships.
I don’t just want to be an expert in mortgages—I want to be a partner in your homeownership story. Whether you’re buying your first home, starting a new chapter, or finding your forever place, I’m here to educate, communicate, and walk alongside you every step of the way and beyond. Helping people feel confident, informed, and connected to their community is what brings me joy.
I look forward to helping bring you home.
