This was my first time buying a property. I know I was not familiar with the process, but I found many things confusing and insufficiently communicated.
For example, when I requested status on the closing process, I was told the lender was waiting for addittional documentation from the title company. After that, I was called on a Friday during the late afternoon and told the process was \"stuck\" because employment verfication was not received or didn't come thru. This was not the correct situation. They had verified my employment but they needed to confirm I was able to work from Pennsylvania. This is very different from telling somebody a Friday afternoon that they couldn't verify their employment. I have worked in HR for over 10 years and one understood rule is that you do not call a customer with \"bad\" news going into the weekend. There were other issues with verifying the work address and I had to go into Equifax to run a report that came up right when I was told it wasn't coming right.
In addition, the seller was not happy with how the entire process went. She wasn't please with the delays, communication, etc. For example, I had to tell the processor the sellers needed to be communicated about the closing date a week ahead of time. I feel like the expectation was to be ready from one day from another but this was not possible because of work.
