I don't say that the experience wasn't memorable. The experience was fine.
Since I don't do refinancing very often, I think it'd be nice if someone in the process offered a one- or two-page summary of the steps in the process. I didn't like that I was discouraged from getting corrections made when there were clear mistakes made in filing out some of the early forms (no, I don't want to sign disclosures that are inaccurate -- I don't want to be a perjurer). Also, I think it would have been nice if someone had proactively explained to my while I was getting money after closing when it wasn't supposed to be a cash-out refinance. (Also, it would have been nice if someone had told me that there would be a $15 wire fee if I had that money wired to my account rather than going back after closing to pick up a check.)
I have to say that I don't think this survey was very well designed:
(1) It asked if I thought that Gil give good advice? Maybe, I don't know. This isn't my area of expertise. I hope that he gave good advice because otherwise I might not be managing my money very well.
(2) The survey asked whether I worked directly with a Loan Processor? Maybe, I don't know. What was his or her name? I talked with several people in Gil's office including Gil himself. I don't recall anyone telling me that he or she was a \"Loan Processor\", but I might have forgotten.
