Horrible customer service. Stay away from!

As first time home buyer I was new to the whole process of a loan and loan types. Joseph Azua did not communicate properly nor did he respond within a timely manner. Any concerns I had usually took about 4 days or weeks. My credit was pulled and by the time he sent my pre-approval which was 3 months later he had re-pulled my credit without my consent. He stated the first consent meant that it was okay for future pulls of the loan process which lost my trust. I had to contact customer service for him to respond regarding my credit pull. He was recommended by a family member which is why I went through with the process, but overall stressful and bad experience. I did not complete my loan with this company for that reason.

My fiance and I have had a very poor experience working with this lender. We met the loan officer at a bridal fair and he initially seemed knowledgeable, attentive, and motivated about assisting us through the first-time home buying process. Unfortunately this was not the case, and we received little to no communication, empty assurances, and ultimately wasted our time and delayed our home search significantly. When issues arose with our initially discussed pre-approval, our loan officer did not communicate any of these concerns with us for over 1 month despite us making numerous attempts to follow up via phone call, text, and email. When we were finally able to get a consultation scheduled, we discussed a plan to pursue another loan type. It has again been over 1 month since I have received any correspondence regarding this approval. The loan officer had assured he would also send us different price/monthly mortgage breakdowns for various loan types, which were never received. I have attempted to follow up numerous times, and have even sent additional notice we will be working with a new lender, and have not received ANY acknowledgement what so ever. It is unsettling to have provided additional personal/financial information to this provider and for them to have seemingly vanished. We have since pursued services with another lender, and have had wonderful communication and received the answers we needed in less than a week. If you are looking for a lender that will support your home buying needs, I would not recommend New American Funding.

I gave them all my information to get pre-approved and essentially never heard from them again. Luckily I found another lender that is quick and and keeps me updated on everything.

Disappointing is quite an overstatement. I know I don't have the best of credit and I was attempting to buy a small house for my cat ?? and I. 6 months they kept leading me on to buy one house at $119,000. It wasn't much but they couldn't pull it together. I got so frustrated. They first told me my cash to close was about $1,000. Then it was $1,200 to $1,800. Next it was $3,000 oh they forgot to include a grant so it was back to $1,800. It took so long the seller refused to sell unless all concessions were on me. Guess what? Now the cash to close is now $5,000. Enough. This place is such a joke. Credit Karma suggested this place to me. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! RUN AWAY! RUN FAR FAR AWAY!

Can’t speak to this specific office, but I signed up with New American Funding lenders online and they are complete trash…will lead you on, promise commitment, and then back out literally the day before your closing.

Horrible. No response. Rude.

Please try to avoid this company, they waisted 2 months of time
