Real Estate Transaction failed to close due to Ashley - NAF ultimately caused my Client/Buyer to lose $3,000.00 Earnest/Option Funds. Ashley sought after my Client/Buyer for a year, so he felt devoted to stay with her despite my having a lender... Ashely had my client "approved" for a mortgage loan and waited until ONE day prior to closing to advise him that her Underwriter-Manager (NAF) needed him to sell a major asset in order to qualify... missed every deadline to save the contract. Total Shock to everyone, but Ashley/NAF! Extremely poor time management, communication, and loyalty to her Client. She left the Title Company, Seller's & Buyer's and both Agents in a bad position and didn't seem to care one bit. Never offered to pay the $3k she caused client to lose... lifeless apology and that's it. If I could rate Ashley and this company zero here, I would!

This was probably the worst experience I had. While Shelby was a great loan officer, this company is the worst. They have had my information since January and today when I am supposed to close they tell me that we are not sure if your employment will continue. They literally wasted my time and I almost lost my house. If you are a minority or going for FHA please save your breath and go to Bank of America or Rocket Mortgage. I just got funding through Rocket Mortgage

Horrible communication. We considered them a year ago when we were originally buying our home and had issues getting ahold of anyone after our application was started. Since their rates were good we decided to try again for a refinance with how low rates have been recently. Different people, same issues. It would take a week to hear back when we had a question or gave additional information if we got any response at all. Our file was finally escalated to the sales manager. Ultimately less than two weeks before we were supposed to close after being told things were going fine and we were conditionally approved the underwriting manager denied us because they said my wife's income was variable (it isn't) and that based on their personal opinion she was just supplementing her hours with PTO (she wasn't) and even went as far as to say they didn't understand how she could have so much PTO anyway. In reality her company had given all employees every other Friday off between Halloween and New Year's so there was a day of PTO for each recent check. It's understandable this could look strange, but it could have easily been cleared up by confirming with her HR department. The way it was handled and comments that were made were extremely unprofessional. Luckily we already had a backup company who we've had zero issues with. Don't waste your time here.

The whole process was a nightmare. Could never get anyone on the phone, left voicemails and no response- changed LO 3 times. As far as I know, someone is still working on a pre-approval for me and I am already under contract with another lender. Do better NAFinc, there’s no reason that anyone should be left so clueless while making one of the biggest financial decisions in their life.

How are they in business still? Terrible loan officer, Heather Petrillo. She cannot meet deadlines and should not be a in position where other people rely on her.

I would NOT recommend ever working with Greg Riordan at New American Funding. I wanted to give a local broker a chance and I deeply regret doing so. We were up front with all of our information and he failed to recognize a critical component that ended up changing everything. We lost the house we were in escrow for due to Greg’s incompetence. Not only did he cause us to lose the house but he also was a rude & inconsiderate. I have heard of other people having the same experience where they also lost the house they were in escrow for because of him. In today’s market I would not take a risk and choose Greg as your broker.

Not a good experience when I called or text no one called me back. They had my loan for 3 weeks no status calls no return calls Heather was inconsiderate avoiding me she was never available ask for manager Greg no call from him either. I never treated my clients like they treated me. I always called my clients back always. Spent over 20 years in this business if you made a mistake and you didn't know what your doing ask for help. I called my other friend in the business and was told you should have never held the loan that long and got an answer from him in 1 day. Very disappointed.

The worst service anywhere, lied to me several times about how my loan was going. to 5 months to get no where with these fabricators. hired a low ball appraiser to under appraise my home for refinance. they were so bad they returned my $550 fee. Maybe Reardon is better, but Patrillo and company total let down. I got prequalified and did not get a call back for 6 weeks to start process Total waste of time. Go with Finance of America if you want honesty and competent service.
