As a licensed Georgia REALTOR® representing the buyers on this transaction, I cannot recommend Chis Drexler New American Funding based on how this file was handled. My clients paid for their appraisal but were not given a copy of it for roughly three weeks. Meanwhile, that same appraisal was shared with the builder — the party on the other side of their purchase — essentially as soon as it came in. So the opposing party saw my clients’ confidential valuation immediately, while the buyers who actually paid for it were left waiting. During that delay, two reconsiderations of value were run on the file without my clients’ knowledge or consent. A borrower is entitled to their own appraisal, and that document should not be handed to the party they’re negotiating against. The lack of transparency here put my clients at a disadvantage in their own purchase. I share this so other buyers and agents know to ask the right questions up front, and I’d think carefully before placing a transaction with this lender.

Basic level of communication would have been nice - took multiple emails and ultimately voicemails to get him to respond. I never once heard about the appraisal - not when it was ordered, completed, nothing - I had to hear from the BUYER. Also if he was following the loan process AT ALL he would have figured out that the CD didn't go out when it should have, which caused us to have to change closing, and then even the day of closing nothing was ready on time and we had to delay again to later in the day. Then he made promises to the client about a credit for her inconvenience - which never happened - then offered to just send her money from his own Venmo account to "make it right" and of course that didn't happen either.

This company is the worst I’ve ever encountered. I wish I could cancel the loan because the employees misled me.

It took a ridiculously long time. Instead of providing a list of what they required, every week to 10 days they'd ask for something new.

The whole process didn’t go smoothly from start to end. Was hard getting in touch with anyone throughout the process. Nothing was organized. I was told one thing & ended with another. I’m having to pay for a higher insurance because they claimed that they haven’t heard anything back from the HOA & they told me that only once & that’s on the day of closing so they made me change my insurance causing my monthly payments way above what was stated. I tried reaching out after closing & no response!
