Brittany's communication was almost nonexistent. My client and I would call, leave voicemails and email her multIple days with no response. We had to involve a processer for updates on our file and to answer any questions. She would only respond after we got someone else involved in the email thread. What would have made this transaction better is if the loan ofiver had an open line of communication and we didn't feel like we were pestering her to get an answer or clarification. It also seems like that employees don't communicate with each other. We were asked a number of times for things we had already provided . It was an overall stressful situation that did not have to be . This transaction could have been extremely smooth, but the lack of communication made it extremely unpleasant and frustrating.

Not being asked for the same document over and over. Not receiving most communication from the processor asking for documents overnight and not during business hours. Not having 0 communication for an entire week and then causing delays in closing.

Kat has no idea what she's doing. She didn't know that two wires that were sent two weeks before closing didn't go through. She didn't go through the closing statement with the buyer and didn't tell them that they needed a cashiers check at closing.

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. I'd go a zero if I could. If you want to be ignored, delayed and treated bad, go ahead and use Scott and Fairway. He picked up a dumpster fire from another Fairway officer, Mandi Atkins (yes the one below who gave 5 star rating. Appears they just give each other positive ratings) who flaked out as he was a manager. The hope was it would get better....it did not. ZERO communication with agents, escrow, even the buyer who is their customer! No sense of urgency to clean up a mess from a fellow Fairway officer, caused an extension to be necessary due to their slug like pace. Stay away.

Terrible communication and a complete lack of transparency. As the builder's preferred lender, this loan officer should have known how to handle a new construction timeline, but instead only locked the ratelock for 30 days, forcing multiple stressful extensions. Throughout the process, the Loan Estimate and Closing Disclosure were never explained, leaving my client feeling highly uncomfortable and rushed at the end. The final figures were significantly different from what was originally quoted, with zero guidance or breakdown offered to the buyer. The lack of explanation left the client feeling like things weren't on the up and up.
Review by Courtney Bolger for Deon Westbrook
Completed transaction on July 16, 2026
I appreciate that Deon and his team remained engaged and continued working toward a solution for the buyers. However, my overall experience was very difficult due to inconsistent communication, inaccurate information, and a lack of accountability when those issues were identified. Throughout the transaction, I repeatedly requested clarification regarding the loan status, appraisal review, outstanding underwriting conditions, contingency removal, the roof repair holdback process, and the anticipated closing timeline. Some information was not merely incomplete or evolving—it was later shown to be incorrect. For example, I was given assurances regarding how the repair holdback would be handled before the process and underwriting requirements had actually been confirmed. Additional material conditions and requirements were then introduced late in the transaction, after I had spent several days seeking a clear understanding so I could properly advise my clients. When I raised concerns about the changing and inaccurate information, the responses often focused on defending the lender's position or emphasizing that the team was working toward a solution, rather than acknowledging the communication failures and the difficult position they created for the buyers and for me as their agent. I did not feel there was meaningful accountability for the fact that I had relied on information provided by the lending team that later changed or proved to be inaccurate. As a buyer's agent, I depend on my lending partners to provide timely, accurate, and confirmed information so I can protect my clients' interests and communicate responsibly with the other side of the transaction. More thorough verification before providing assurances, clearer communication of unresolved issues, and greater accountability when incorrect information is provided would be necessary for me to feel confident referring future clients. Equally important, every referral I make reflects directly on my professional reputation. When I introduce a client to a lending partner, I am placing my credibility behind that recommendation. Unfortunately, this transaction left me regretting that referral because I was repeatedly placed in the position of communicating information to my clients and the listing side that later changed or proved to be inaccurate. My clients trusted this lender because they trusted my recommendation. That trust is incredibly important to me, and this experience not only affected my clients' confidence, but also my confidence in referring future business to this team.

Took over a month to provide me with loan detail. Finally went with someone else. Kept asking for same copies that I already sent weeks earlier. Called around 4:40 to ask for copies of w2’s on a Friday. Went back and forwarded same information sent a month earlier. Confusing would have another agent call or email and ask again for same information.

Worst service ever! Never been late on a payment and now have an emergency with my Wife's health due to having to take out her lung and requested they move 1 month to the end of my mortgage since have to take care of her at the Hospital and they said they can't do anything. They say I have to have a debt and my credit affected for them to review, when I am being proactive and letting them know before the surgery. ??????
