Tell the truth , return emails before the end of the workday, don't use stalling tactics!

very little communication. Made things more difficult than they needed to be. Had to extend the contract 3 times , which put the buyer at rusk risk . Closed 3 weeks late

Malcolm Arrington was unhelpful, aggressive, and unreachable when things went sideways. I will never do business with New American Funding again based on the experience. I could list all of the details why, but I will leave it at that and they will be hearing from my lawyer for their negligence.

There were several unexpected surprises during the loan process that could have been avoided if they had been explained to us upfront. We wish he had been more knowledgeable about these issues and informed us in advance so we could make better-informed decisions and avoid unnecessary stress.

Amy and Kenzy showed little awareness of what was needed during this process. Several times my agent and I were informed of something only for the NAF team to walk back what they had said. the process was delayed so much I even got a call from Kenzy the night before closing asking for paperwork that had been submitted weeks prior. The ac unit was stolen early into this process, to which we were told by NAF that if we provided paperwork showing the seller both the unit and intended to replace it that it would suffice for the lending team. Lo behold days before the first closing date they walk that back and say the unit HAS to be installed. We were assured that everything was being processed pn time and was in the hands of the funder only to then be asked for more documents hours later. Closing was delayed by a week and even the day of closing, the title company didn't recieve funds until 10 MINUTES BEFORE THE OFFICE CLOSED ON A FRIDAY. Safe to say NAF made my first homebuyer experience a terrible one.

Throughout the process the entire loan team did very little to keep my buyer informed of the process or answer questions. I was (as the buyer's agent) talking buyer through things that should have been handled by the lender. Same lack of communication between the lender and the attorney's office/closing agent. Very disappointing and closing 4 hours late on the morning of closing causing major chaos for the sellers who couldn't purchase their home in another state as planned. Overall one of the worst lending experiences I have had in my 10 years of real estate transactions.

Very bad communication skills , doesn't have a sense of urgency or care for his clients . It's about two months with still no response meanwhile I have been approved by 3 other lenders waiting on him . I would not recommend for first time home buyers .

I’m happy for everyone who received quality service from Brian. My experience was impersonal and Brian refused to believe that a discrepancy between his lagging computer system and my documentation could exist. Alleging student loans in default is not okay. Especially if a client offers documentation proving they’re not. Too busy to get it right. Especially when it’s something that 100% disqualifies someone from accessing credit…moving on.
