Although Alfredo was very personable via text, I felt the lack of phone calls was unprofessional. I was not comfortable with dealing with over $400,000 via text. Many delays, miscommunications with his support staff, and poor communication with my realtor made this a very unpleasant experience. Alfredo was never rude and I did ultimately close on my loan, but I wasn't happy with the process.

We had a very disappointing experience with New American Funding working with Todd. He forgot to schedule our appraisal which forced our contract to be rewritten. And at the last minute, I had to be taken off of the loan because he didn't realize that one of my credit sources didn't meet the lender's criteria (he had all of our financial information for months before this).

Communication and follow up was very poor. The first 3 weeks into making this deal, she did not call us until we called her about the status of the loan processing. She has taken away the level of excitement of the home buying experience to none. She gave wrong figures on amount down payment and could not explain the figures that we got from the title company, at one point she told as we don't have enough money to buy the house. We felt she profiled us without asking first. She is very demeanin

Just better communication, like I shouldn't have to contact the corporate office in order to get ahold of someone because neither I nor my realtor can get a response or a call back from anyone. It eventually worked out but the sellers had wanted to pull out of the sale multiple times because of the delays caused by Bob and this team. Talking to Chris L was the only thing that got things moving and I appreciate his help very much, but it should have never gotten to that point.

Review by Reyna Esparza for Deon Westbrook

Completed transaction on June 28, 2026

My experience working with Deon Westbrook was frustrating due to inconsistent communication and unclear expectations throughout the transaction. During the process, several statements were made regarding potential credits, fee reductions, refunds, and payment options that ultimately did not align with the outcome of our closing. When I later sought clarification, I found it difficult to obtain clear answers or supporting documentation. Even basic requests, such as obtaining the buyer's closing statement, required repeated follow-up and appeared to cause confusion. I understand that not every estimate or discussion is a guarantee, and I appreciate that circumstances can change during a real estate transaction. However, I believe clients deserve clear, accurate, and well-documented communication, especially when making significant financial decisions. Ultimately, the lack of follow-through and the disconnect between what was discussed and what ultimately occurred left me feeling misinformed and unsupported. I hope this feedback encourages improvements in communication and client expectations for future customers.

Better communication 100% . We kept getting whipped around by people who didnt seem to know whatsoever what they were doing in this process. Every step we took, they realized there was something else wrong. We prequalified for 375,000, then were told randomly 2 weeks before we were supposed to close that we needed a 6 month reserve of the mortgage and that our interest was unlocked because of it which increased our interest by half a percent. After that 10 days before our scheduled close date (which was a date they suggested!) We were then told we needed to put down 25% on a $313,000 property when we qualified for 5%, which is an insane amount of money to randomly say we needed to pull out of thin air, or we needed coborrowers. Anytime we had a question about Where charges had come from or why we suddenly had to do something, the answers were always either because we apparently missed a deadline no one told us about, that they needed to do whatever that was to keep the process moving despite giving no authorization to do that, or "thats just how it is." We closed 3 days late because every day it was "oh we can get it fixed by tomorrow and have you close tomorrow." We were supposed to close 8am Monday and didn't get to close and get the keys until 4pm Thursday which made us have to scramble and struggle since we had both had time off during the weekdays to help us move, but now we have to juggle moving and actively working . I will never work with this company or any of the officers or assistants we worked with again. Horrific experience, we almost switched loan officers completely in the process, but the very helpful loan officer there who processed all of our information in 3 days told us that while we could switch and work with her if needed, since we already paid for the appraisal, we would lose money and we would run a higher risk of not closing on time. This whole process , while I understand is stressful and complicated, was completely unnecessarily more difficult and painful than ineeded

Review by Scott Grennell for Lynn Knox

Completed transaction on January 7, 2026

Very little communication, wouldn't answer phone calls or emails, Lynn spoke more to my realtor than me. I feel she drop the ball on my file. I'm glad we got it finished but I paid a lot for the service provided and I don't believe I re eived the service that I should have been. I feel like I was lied to at first and had Lynn been upfront we could have closed on our mortgage a month earlier. Had good experience with Lisa Royal and Lisa Silkes. I just feel as someone who trusted my home purchase with Lynn there should have been more communication, anytime I got emails requesting info I responded. Lynn not being upfront and honest at first cost me more money because of the delays caused by the way my file was handled. I'm sure Lynn is a great person and I'm very thankful we got this mortgage accomplished however I felt like just a number and since my file was a little more challenging that I didn't get the personal attention I would have expected.
