I am a real estate agent and my client chose New American for their loan. It was the worst lending experience I have ever had. The processor and underwriter waited until the last minute to do what seemed like everything, which delayed the closing. Figures kept changing; it seemed they didn't know what was going on at all. Their communication was poor, emails were not answered, management never returned my multiple calls. Melissa was really nice but I would never recommend them to anyone.

Tom DeCoro failed to disclose the terms of my loan, he held up my loan making me two days late in removing contingencies and two days late closing. He also told Cathy Boyd from Solaris Escrow that I was backing out of the deal one day prior to signing docs. He continually lied about the cost of the loan throughout the process. He flat out ripped me off and took advantage of me as a first time home buyer. I am filing a complaint with the BBB and other lending agencies regarding this condict.

I REFI WITH LOAN DEPOT IN MAY AT 4%, 2 POINTS, AND CLOSING COSTS $1875. AUSTIN FROM NAF CONVINCED ME THAT BEING EXCELLENT CUSTOMERS WE WILL SAVE MONEY AND NO APPRAISAL. I FAXED ON 6/3 ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS TO NADDER. AND SIGNED THE LOAN. WEEKS PASSED, PHONE MESSAGES NOT ANSWERED PROMPTLY. ON 8/29 DEBORAH MURPHY ASKED FOR 8 DOCUMENTS AND TO SIGN A NEW LOAN, 2.875%I POINTSN AUGUST WIFE COMPLAINED TO NAF AND LOAN WAS APPROVED IN 4 DAYS. DEBTS NOT PAID NO USE OF ETF.

New American Funding hired a local law firm to process the closing of my loan. That law firm shipped the signed forms using FedEx, who subsequently lost the shipment. I'm very uncomfortable with a lost shipment containing that much personal information. New American Funding was unwilling to take full responsibility, instead blamed it on FedEx and the law firm for choosing FedEx. This lack of ownership is completely unacceptable as a service provider.

Cathy contacted me about a phone loan. I was very hesitant about letting her run my credit and I voiced that upfront. She convinced me to do it anyway. She requested several documents including my banking information. I emailed her everything on the list. I NEVER heard from her again. This was in August. No phone calls. No emails. Nothing. She hit my credit with a hard inquiry and ig obviously was good enough for her so she just went on about her business and left me hanging. Horrible horrible s
