Better knowledge of products he recommends and know and can advise us ahead of time of conditions and the terms we are getting instead of telling us two weeks before its time to close. And yell us the only way the deal could happen is to put 20% down. This was the worst house buying experience we have ever had!!!!

You misrepresented every detail and projected cost. You told me at every conversation that I would get a certain rate. You intentially "low-balled" me. And you added every possible nip picking fee imaginable. I would advise everyone NOT to choose Newamerican.

Honestly the lack of concern and timeliness on Berta part was completely unacceptable and unsatisfactory..her answers were always just to be patient and also she lied to me multiple times...i had to get upper management involved just so i could close on my house before i became homeless with no THANKS TO HER..worst loan officer experience i have ever been through!! Will never use New American Loans If she is still an employee!

Sorry this survey doesn’t have enough space for us to explain our experience. Let’s just say it was horrible. Wouldn’t recommend New American funding if it’s the last mortgage company around. Especially the Atlanta office from the managers to Scott Smith.

This was by far my worst experience in financing purchase of a property. Every step of this process was poorly managed and handled. None of the early discussions and commitments by this loan brokerage company ever came through. We were always reacting to yet another request for information, approval for changes (none initiated by me) by the broker and his staff on a nightly basis.

I worked with Steve Schauer for about six months and up to the last day he was trying to qualify me for the loan. It doesn’t take six months to know whether someone qualifies for a loan or not! I had to pay off $13,000 of debt, after paying 20% down selling my home during Christmas week and because he delayed my closing because he wasn’t ready, II had to pay my movers an additional $900.00. Instead of my experience being pleasant, it was the worst experience of my husband’s and my life.
