My main issues was that I felt in the dark about a couple things. I don't know if that was from Alexandre or my processor Tiffany. No one bothered to let me know when they scheduled the closing with a notary....I found out when the notary called to confirm. I wasn't aware that I had options as far as how to get my money to me from the refinance. Had I known I would have had a letter from my bank for routing but I had ran out of checks and had no deposit slips at home to do that so had to wait for a check. We initially talked about me getting all the money and then paying my ex-husband after closing. Then I was told week of he would have to get his own check. I feel like this info should have been told to me much sooner as I'm sure they were aware. I just feel like in the end the communication could have been WAY better.

Fewer acronyms, more thorough explanations of a very complicated process with complicated numbers we expected to just be understood or not questioned. She was very responsive but the responses were often not very helpful or left us with more questions.

There was constant doubling back and needless holdups, up to and including “them” not liking my signature. (The signature that I’ve always used that is on my Social Security Card, my drivers license/passport, bank cards, Federal documents that I’ve filled out for my job) Celina was always very friendly and helpful but it would seem that a few that she works with couldn’t be bothered by their lack of communication. One of her associates, Blythe would email me and say I need *x document* and I would promptly email it back to her only to get an automated response saying that she was out of the office and it would list her hours. Each time this happened it was within those hours and more likely than not I would not get response for days at a time.

Sometimes did not get responses in a timely manner. Closing almost didn't happen as someone dropped the ball along the way. Not sure if that was Chris or someone else. Otherwise was a good experience working with New American.

First two home loans I experienced was totally amazing by VeteransUnitedHomeLoans. The loan manager kept me updated almost daily and never had any communication issues. His team was on it with any questions I had and very responsive. This time was exact opposite. Felt like I was out flapping in the wind most of time. Weeks or days without any updates. I had to reach out to find any information or updates. Catherine and Sonia need to be on same page. Sonia obviously wasn’t communicating with what Catherine and I discussed. I the end it has so far worked out, just not what I was accustomed to from previous loans.
