I really don't want to rate my lender one star but I can't move on. I would maybe rate 0. I had to continue with my loan process through them because I was on a deadline or I would have gone elsewhere. I am a return client and got treated like shit. Added cost were placed on me due to their lack in timing are efficiency. My rate was not locked as I asked and I was charged additional fees to reduce paperwork and lock in a higher interest rate. Excuses after Excuses!! Kari Schlagheck And Brooke Povlsen were my loan officers and I would run! I went from getting money back at closing to all of a sudden having to pay. They were slow with my paperwork. They don’t respond unless you file a complaint. Brook lost my paperwork it seemed like. Constantly asking for the same work over and over! My closing was pushed back 7 times! I highly do Not recommend!! As soon as I can refinance I will. They won’t get my business again! They treated me awful.

Accurate and COMPLETE communication. I originally discussed my loan details with Neal. My loan was transferred to a new loan officer without notice. Don had no information for my loan from Neal and NEVER discussed anything with me regarding my loan. I docu-signed paperwork for what was originally discussed with Neal only to have totally different loan paperwork arrive on the day of closing. I refused to complete the paperwork at the original closing. When trying to discuss the issues with Misty, she was rude and unhelpful only saying it’s what you and your loan officer discussed. This was absolutely not the case. I reached out to Don and his supervisor, and not one time, did either return my call. Certain payees were required to be paid off through the loan. Four days after the closing, I contacted Don regarding these payoffs as they had not occurred yet. Only to be informed for the first time, checks for the payees were being fedex’d to me.

Unfortunately, while I had an okay experience with the original mortgage process, I have since had an unpleasant experience during the refinancing process. Regarding a refinancing inquiry, the loan officer was instructed to not yet run a hard credit pull and to instead use a soft pull at this stage in the process. I was alerted to the fact that the loan officer, Patrick Rowles, instead ran a hard inquiry. When questioned, his response was "sorry, I was on auto-pilot". I gained nothing from his efforts other than a ding to credit score. I can't say "thanks for nothing" because he in fact hurt me, which is less than nothing. Be weary with this company's loan officers.

I was very disappointed in the service we received from NAF. I thought everything was fine and any communication we received would suggest that we were on the right track to close the sale of our home and the purchase of our new home on the day communicated, which was given to Melanie 2.5 months prior to the closing date. 2 business days prior to our close date, we found out that our loan had not been locked in until the day before. So our close date on our purchase was moved out a day starting a large domino effect on everyone else involved. This also meant that my family had to spend extra money for a hotel room for the night between our closings.Melanie did not communicate to us that she had failed to lock in our loan in time, rather her manager communicated that to our realtor. And after everything that happened, no one from NAF even attended our closing. It was obvious that it didn't matter that we were extremely upset. This experience has made our decision to eventually refinance with a different company.
