The real estate agent that I worked with was an absolute joke. She referred me to New American Funding and I was satisfied with the process until today. I specifically asked Sean if they would sell .you loan at any time and he told me 'we do not sell our loans. Your loan will stay with us.' I came home today to find a letter in my mailbox stating they sold the loan to Freddie Mac! Had I known this would happen if would have stayed with Wells Fargo for my new house since they held my previous loan for over 6 years and never sold it! I am beyond upset that they would flat out lie. I do not recommend this company. They clearly have no integrity and do not value their customers. What a terrible way to do business.

Horrible service from this company. Really disappointing. I was trying to refinance my home with them since February. Every week they wanted something new, which is sometimes how this business goes and not why I am giving one star. The problem is that I continuously asked for them to be honest with me and they weren't. It was always"we should be good this week". Then they stopped returning emails and and phone calls. I called and left my loan consultant Drew Haberl 17 messages that were not answered or returned. I also left messages with his manager and the supervisor of his manager and even though all of their voice mail messages said they would return the call within 24 hours none of them called me back. I ultimately went with a local company who got me a better rate without any of the hassle. If you are thinking of using these guys, i would strongly recommend using another local company.

WORST COMPANY EVER- USE ANYONE ELSE! If it was possible to give negative 5 stars.. This company is unethical, careless, unprofessional and corrupt. Gave this company 15 months notice of a new home I was having built. Gave them everything they could possibly need and 2 days before closing they tell me that they will only fund the purchase is I buy it as an investment property. They basically waited till the last minute to call me a liar and then forced me to start over with a REAL BANK which thankfully was able to close in 21 days. Because of their unethical trade practice and deception, I had to pay the builder $4400 out of my own pocket because I didn't close on time. If it had been 1 more week, he would have sold my house to someone else. In addressing it with New American, they had the gall to blame me for not providing all the information they needed and then saying they refunded me the appraisal fee as a courtesy. They cost me $4400 for their incompetence and they are being courteous?? USE A REAL BANK! BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. By the way, my credit is perfect and I was putting down 20 percent on this house. Still waiting on an response from their customer service Director...

I have been contacted by New American Funding recently by consultant George Ashby for an inquiry i have made. I am currently in the process of closing on a house. He took my credentials and ran my credit, and gave me a quotes that are better than the one i have with another bank i am working with. I was very happy and he asked me to provide few more documents to get some credits towards closing, since my other bank is providing. He was trying to match the credits. After providing the proof from another bank, he called and changed everything that he said, and he claimed he hasn't provided such quotes to me. I asked him to open the recording, since every call is recorded. Then he changed again and said he reviewed his notes, and he did say that but the rated are changed since then. I strongly believe that he over promised on quotes and his manged didn't agree on his decision. The company has great reviews, may be other consultants are great at what they do. But the experience i had with George Ashby is terrible, he wasted my time and his as well.

Worst company for a mortgage, I was conversing with a NEIL OROZCO, he has a very sarcastic attitude, most loan officers get paid off of commission due to your loan, you would think they would have more respect to get you to close with them. I have talked back and forth with this individual for a couple of weeks telling him I needed a prequal/preapproval asap. I gave him everything he needed, then after a couple of days, he needs one more thing, then a week later, I need one more paper. Utterly ridiculous customer service, I am highly disappointed. Thank goodness I was talking to other mortgage companies to close on a deal because if I had to wait on this guy, who by the way STILL hasn't emailed me back because he doesn't pick up the phone, I would've been S.O.L from buying a home. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY.

I recently refinanced my home and got a good rate but I was lied to by Pouyan Narani. I was told New American would allow bi weekly payments and apply them as soon as payments were recieved in order to save on interest and pay the loan off faster. I just recieved a email that the bi weekly payment option only helps with “budgeting” and they don’t apply the 1st payment until they receive the other half of the payment at the end of the month. This will not help cut the interest paid over the life of the loan. So beware of deseptive salesmen like Pouyan Narani and get everything in writing!!

Raw Message Printable View PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! I LOST 30K ON EARNEST DEPOSIT AND THE HOME I TRIED TO PURCHASE BECAUSE OF THEIR UNETHICAL BEHAVIOR. THEY REFUSED TO REIMBURSED ME FOR THE DAMAGES THEY CAUSED ME. I have to hire an attorney to recover my losses. Here it is my story: I applied for a loan over the phone with New American Funding on October 21st, 2017. I received from the VP officer Chris MacNaughton pre-approved loan letter on October 24th. After delivered all requested docs, on November 14th, I received a written full loan approval letter which also stated go ahead to "remove all contingencies" for my home purchase contract. Upon receipt, I performed my due diligence and obligations pursuant to the purchase contract and removed loan contingency. I would not have done so without the written full loan approval from New American Funding. I had sent all paper work, locked rates, paid for appraisals and inspections and had 30k on earnest deposit held at Chicago Title. Unfortunately days from escrow, I was told that the VP entitled of my loan quit the company without notifying me and my agent. Her assistant also quit a couple weeks later. So my loan passed to different loan officers who promised new closing dates. Steve Torres asked for more time as they need to unlock the files under the license of previous VP Chris MacNaughton. It took me and my agent many phone calls and lot of stress to get escrow dates. Only on December 2nd, the fourth person in charge of the file, VP Chris Garza told us they could not fund the loan. As my duty I canceled the purchase agreement as the seller could no longer wait. While New American Funding VP Chris Garza recognized their employee's mistakes and asked for all receipts of my expenses due to the delinquent behavior of a VP loan officer, I have only received 6% of damages (inspections and appraisals). It is unfortunate that a lender company like this one can cause harm to people, and it is still in business. I am looking for reimbursement of earnest deposit in the amount of $30,000 lost due to the delivery of a Full Approval Letter by New American Funding for the purchase of a residential property. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND LOOK FOR AN ETHICAL LENDER.

Tried to get finacing and heather scruggs was the woman working on my file. Took weeks and still never got an answer yes or no to an approval. Every phone call she would make it impossible to end the call. Going on and on about her doctor appointments and personal life. Emailing and texting her asking if shes got any answers. Rarely letting me know. Went through jg wentworth and got approved in 3 days. Bad credit history and still under %5.2
