New American Funding in Tustin! The worst experience ever…Shane very nice guy to talk to, however the whole process was very un-proffesional and very disappointing with zero resolution…..Looking at some of these reviews, makes me understand the process a little more. Good Idea to not give up and pursue another lender who can be a lot more creative than New American Funding is…...

Our business relationship with this company was a disaster from start to finish. We were repeatedly asked to provide endless years of tax returns, financial information, bank statements, and wages/W2's, proof of employment and more for close to three months. Our email requests from March 2, 2016 to May 24, 2016, for a status update, or some communication concerning the submission of our financials were not responded to in any fashion. I have over 17 emails that were sent to this company requesting some sort of status, which were NEVER responded to in any form whatsoever. 100% ignored. It was not until I personally threatened litigation that they responded to my repeated emails requesting that they discontinue any further work on our file and destroy our personal information. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. They treat people as if they don't matter and I believe my experience should be known so as to prevent other unsuspecting people from being treated like dirt.

Avoid them they are Liars and scam artist they advertise low interest rates and o closing coast and all they won't to do is run your credit report and then rip u off with a high closing coast or interest rates even if you have a857 credit score and then they will tell you that the rates have gone up to day and other b.s. stores and they hope your stupid to believe them isn't that right Gregory Manos

Don't be so quick to believe the first story they tell you. The quoted $1000 closing cost, turned in $4300 the next day, as did removal of the 5/0 Buy Down component, and this AFTER I gave them permission to run my credit. I went elsewhere and blew the New American Funding's offer totally out of the water.

As a former loan officer of nearly 20 years, one business trait was paramount! UNDER Promise and OVER Deliver. My family was enticed by this companies marketing campaign and low rates. Radio Blasts and endorsements from KFI Radio's Bill Handel, encouraged them to apply. A conforming loan, 60%LTV, Ratios under 40 with Fico Scores above 800... Would seem to be a slam dunk. 30 days later, no loan docs, and one issue after the other. The rates and fees are great.. BEWARE...If you are.. IN A HURRY!

Given there popular Sunday Morning radio show, I'm sure most all folks would say they had a delightful experience with NAF...I am an exception to that rule. It took 5 months of unbelievable patience just to get a decline at the end of it all for one 30 day late on my account. What was really the kicker, it was because of Their exhaustive process that caused me to be late in the first place, with promise after promise that we were closing at the end of the month. I have NEVER experienced such a mishandling of a file in my entire span of owning homes and refinancing. Of all the loans they close, you can't tell me that having a second deed of trust would take more than five months to reconcile and then, to NO avail at that. I can't have been the first and only customer with a hurdle to jump. Having to accomplish most of the leg work myself to reconcile my file and have it pushed to underwriting... to total more than three times... and with two separate underwriter's, is enough to make anyone shoot themselves. Here is what I expected from ANY reputable lender: after all of the information was received and it reaches the underwriter's desk, they then tell you ALL that is necessary to get this loan approved. EVERYTHING...all at once because they can clearly see what is holding the file hostage! NOT jump one hurdle, back to underwriting and there's yet another hurdle to jump...and then another...and then another...and then another. How is it that they could not clearly see what was needed IN THE BEGINNING to have the loan approved and reduce the leg work of the time consuming items requested? It was theee most God awful experience I ever had to endure. Steffany, another loan processor only made things worse by pulling her hair out because she had too many loans to close on-time, as if I didn't want to be counted in that number, so she couldn't spend time to properly work my file. Instead, she gave me information that sent me more than two months out of my way by requesting me to retrieve time consuming paperwork that wasn't even needed and from the wrong company too boot!! At the end of the day, it was relatively easy to get all that was requested when the right company was contacted but, by that time, as it had been five months, and I had received a 30 day late. Now, the loan would be denied. A complete waste of time. I won't even bother to mention the process of escalating a complaint. Amy was useless and too busy to return a phone call. While I will say that Tim was a delight to work with and even helped to keep me from jumping from the roof top in the beginning, toward the end...even he gave me the impression that he was not the team player I assumed him to be. So, all in all NAF may help the average Joe when the file is simple and you have NO ISSUES, but all that talk about being knowing the industry and no one can help you like they can...is a bunch of Bull and I would be grateful never to have the opportunity to use them again for another corporate beat down...because that's exactly what my experience left me feeling like. BEWARE!!!

I received a call offering a refinance. After I gave them all my personal information, their agent was suppose to call me back but I never received a call back. Because I had a second on my house they assured me that their company could combine it and refinance. I never received the call and now I am concern that they have all my info and I would certainly not do business with them. Can't return a call; can;t be trusted. That is so unprofessional.
