Not a good experience at all. Upon receiving documents related to estimated closing costs adding up to $4,200 on a $50,000 loan I asked why they were so high. Miranda told me that Gil would explain that to me. He informed me that the $4,200 was how much it cost to get the loan. I told him it was too much and I would look elsewhere or find other means. He proceeded to tell me, “your loan is a lot of work anyways so I’ll just withdraw your application”.The other lender I was shopping is doing the same loan for $770 in costs.Do yourself a favor and shop around, this place will take your hard earned money and line their pockets with it.

If the buyer would have gone with a different lender.

I originally started working with Farmers Bank and Trust of Kansas city in first week of June. I worked with Kyle Roberts who quoted 45-50 days for refinancing. In the beginning itself there were red flags but I ignored them based on glowing reviews Kyle had on Zillow. Regardless they did offer me the best rate as well. I had the option to drop them and go to my current lender who matched that rate but I stayed with Kyle out of nicety that he has already put in the work. Right of the bat, I had few questions on application but email wasn't responded by Kyle for 2 days. I called and left few VM as well which weren't followed up on. But out of nowhere I get a threatening email saying that I haven't done the "Homework and started appraisal process yet". If I don't take action in 48 hrs then my loan will be cancelled. It was shocking to get that email so I called and this time I got through. Kyle apologized for missing the email. I left it at that. All well right? WrongAppraisal done and came exactly where it was expected. Now I am thinking loan is going forward but no. After like 45 days they raise the issue of HELOC I had with second lender. HELOC had zero balance but they needed to do subordination agreement with the bank. They didn't start the process for 45 days and then kept on pressuring me to close the HELOC despite me writing on the application that I want to keep the HELOC. The HELOC lender responded and gave the documents within couple weeks. Now all is settled right? WRONGThen they want some document from the time this HELOC was originated. I am like why didn't you ask the bank when you originally (45 day later mind it) went to get subordination agreement. Apparently they didn't. So they started this new process all over after about 65 days. This myriad document wasn't even required as per guidelines and their UW had full authority to waive it but Kyle wouldn't even make such request. Instead he sent me another threatening email about canceling the lock and stopping the application. Mind it this was about 70 days in after I did all the work.So I went to the bank and begged them to find this document which was utterly useless. After that they finally approved the loan. Then closing day came. The closing itself was mess. I was never given final closing statement or payoff part. There was double charge for insurance and taxes even though my existing lender had already paid those. If these guys would have done proper payoff then they would have known. The closing agent was fine.I thought we are done now, but even then I couldn't even tell if the loan closed or not. I had to send like 5 emails to find out if the loan has properly closed. I NEVER DID GET CONFIRMATION from them or their title company. Finally I called my old lender who told me that they were paid off. That is how I came to know.So to summarizePros: Good rateCon: Bad customer serviceBad communicationTitle company non responsiveSlow processing.Time from start to end - 81 days

Being Truthful and Not Misleading Clients. After the lies I received from NAF, within 1 to 2 days, lenders were able to clearly tell whether they can assist or not my clients, and not misled them after months of work as NAF did. Horrible experience.
