Really loved that Brittany made sure there were quick turnarounds and replied promptly via email. The only downside was the reaching out, updates, and being able to get NAF on the phone. The numbers provided were always hard to reach anyone and it would always go to voicemail. Interest rates are pretty high compared to other lenders. Thought we give NAF due to our agent's recommendation.

We've worked with New American Funding in the past and have always had great experiences. For this mortgage processing experience, we felt that attention to details (updating our agent information on our file, using the correct name when addressing someone in an email) and follow up emails could have been better. There were times where a day or two would go by with no updates, during a time where daily or twice-daily updates were critical to the processing of our loan.

The underwriter apparently did not understand the different types of annuities I owned, plus how to do an income dissipation mortgage. The whole process took too long.

Better communications and a list up front of what we were expected to provide. Everything was fed to us in bits and pieces. Our overall expectation level was less than expected.

They were very helpful in trying to resolve the issue with USDA ,however I was very disappointed in not receiving the final closing disclosure. I was not made aware that it was different from the one I received which caused my cash to close to be more . Full disclosure would have been nice.
