Eric if I could give negative stars I would. Terrible experience. Insists you've been preapproved for an amount that would cripple you debt wise (didn't know that until we got a real broker who told us we'd have lost everything had we gotten that amount) and we had been searching in that bracket thinking we were good everything was verbal except the application paperwork never gives straight answers tells you there's no real paperwork they can give you to show what you've been approved for. OH and insisted it wasn't necessary to take first time home owner classes because it wouldn't help us. Jokes on them because now we know that's called unfair practice. Buyer beware. OH AND WHEN THEY MERGED WITH ANOTHER COMPANY WE WERE'NT INFORMED AND HAD TO RESUBMIT EVERYTHING. WOW. GOLD STARS.

As soon as we closed on the loan the customer service was horrible from Tyler Lewis. Most things that were quoted to us didn’t end up being correct and when I would call it would go straight to voicemail, I would never get a call back but he would get frustrated if I called a day later multiple times until he picked up. Wish there was a grace period because now I’m not sure what I even signed up for, he did great at misrepresenting everything.

NAF uses false advertisement. They show good rates and when buyer applies they say the advertised rate is only for low income clients. Beware!

"My experience with Stephen Moye was frustrating and unnecessarily stressful. Communication was inconsistent, and I often had to follow up multiple times just to get basic updates. There were delays that could have been avoided with better transparency and efficiency. At times, I felt like I was left in the dark, which made an already complex process even more difficult. I hope they improve their customer service and responsiveness for future clients.

We told Doris (our lending officer) MULTIPLE times on which loans we wanted to get paid off for our equity cash out loan. And even once we had filled out the paperwork and we had thought we'd gone over it several times, where the money was getting distributed was still wrong. Each time we reached out to Doris, she left us out in the dark with little details and, for some reason, never included my wife in the communication when she knew that she was being put on as a co-signer. Mid-way through the process of working with Michael, we kept finding several different hiccups along the way that kept delaying the process that required us to keep submitting documents that should have been taken care of from the very beginning. This entire loan process lasted for a month and a half when it should have been taken care of in 2 weeks or less. I have never been more stressed or confused in taking out a loan that would ultimately end up saving us money. That says something about the entire process and the people involved. If you can, find other alternatives than New American Funding. A lot of people who have been in the loan industry for decades have never heard of them either.

Shady. We feel played. Terrible communication. Made this whole process daunting and miserable. Our first home, the American dream..... this was an absolute nightmare. Changed numbers on us we ended up paying more than we initially was set up for. There was constant times of no communication, like when the numbers changed, just expected us to sign without any explanation as to why we are paying so much more. Because of their failure to come through and constant stalling on paperwork, we missed deadlines. Costing us more money. Absolutely horrible. I do not recommend.
