First it took 8 months to refi , I got 7 dings on my credit 1 each month . I was told multiple times we are going to close and didn’t . I still haven’t got $4,900 they owe me . Was honestly the worst experience in my life !!

My escrow was heavily delayed and had to spend 5 nites in a hotel because needed documents were not communicated to my real estate agent on time. That delay cost over $1000.00 including my furniture storage. HAD TOM NOTIFIED US AT THE BEGINING OF THE MONTH THAT ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS WERE NEEDED WE WOULD HAVE THE LOAN FUNDED AND ESCROW COMPLETED AND CLOSED. The end process was a disaster. Anthony Hatcher

As a first time home buyer, I was explicit about my lack of knowledge and intentionally asked Eva to over-share info, tentative timeline of events and documents due. I repeatedly had to seek out answers from your team, asked for clarification, and follow-up questions. There was a lot of info that was only provided AFTER I ASKED, such as when documents needed to be returned, clarification on what certain processes meant to me as the buyer. Very stressful process and utterly disappointing service

Early on, the communication was good, but once I sent in all the required documents, communication was non existent. No one within New American Funding knew what the others were doing. The closing was a mess, the closing documents were incorrect, taxes & insurance were to be escrowed and were not. The funding was delayed and not wired when it was supposed to, we were not happy with the process.

Little communication on the process. She would email rather than pick up the phone if something needed urgent attention. I had asked for information to be emailed to me so I could see the figures in print. She never sent that info.

Initially, when we were choosing which loan company we would go with, Paula was very responsive and informative. However, after we chose New American Funding, she was no longer responsive to emails, texts, or calls. When I was able to get in contact with her, she was not able to give me much information regarding the questions I had and was not willing to put me into contact with someone who did. It was a frustrating experience.

Sam was fine but he was very slow on responses due to the amount of accounts he is working and time required on the phones. He also made some critical errors in the process including confusing the terms of the loan, the loan originator, the need for an assessment, the closing costs and more. I felt like I did a lot of work to keep this refi on track and to completion.

It would have made it better if my calls were EVER returned when they said they were going to be. There was poor communication and always an exucse about personal life getting in the way. There had been times where I heard from no one for over a week. My closing was a nightmare. I was told from the begining that my husband would have nothing to do with anything as he is not on any of the paperwork. Closing was cancelled twice due to neglegence. All in all I am grateful it is over.
