The file was mismanaged by the loan officer, exacerbated by poor communication, lack of response, and excessive time to complete necessary tasks. New American Funding is an excellent lender, this loan officer was not representative of the expected level of service.

We were told we could move the closing up to a date given to us by the lender. When that date came we found out no one else at their company knew about the new date, and that we couldn't keep it. We were then given multiple dates we'd be able to close that came and went. We finally closed 1 day before the original date, which would have been fine had we known from the start. A severe lack of communication within the company, and between them and their clients made this an unpleasant experience.

The service overall was horrendous. I had a simple refinance with cash out. It took almost 2 months to complete. My loan request lacked attention. When the attention was given to Tracey things went from bad to worse. She lacks some combination of experience, competence or organizational ability. Her work was poorly supervised. Omar was not numerous times about my processing delays. He provided limited assistance and many times did not return voice mail messages or emails.

The whole experience was a bad one. We had to provide paperwork and explanations to many people besides Brandon which resulted in undo stress for us. We felt like our integrity and honesty were questioned. We had to provide information over and over including two days before closing. We were never told until closing that the loan had been approved, what the final amount would be, or that we would have to produce a cashier's check for that amount. Big problem for people living 5 states away!

Communication is terrible. I talked more to her assistant Michelle then Jackie. I called every week when the process started to make sure things were done and that we would be signing papers on July 10. When the 10th came around, NOTHING was done or ready. We had more paperwork that had to be filled out. It's a month later before all the paperwork is done and the money is dispersed. Second, I did not get the money I thought I was getting and Jackie never informed me it was less.
