Jason did not keep the original agreement to reduce reduce the interest rate from 4.5% to 4.25% if we improved the credit score from 650 to over 680. There were also 2 errors at the end of the closing process that resulted in us closing 1day late and at the very end of that day (Friday) due to late funding of the loan resulting in significant stress (because the seller wanted an out of the contract due to escalating home prices) and delaying our move until the next weekend.

Everything was fine until closing. There were some hiccups approving the funds post closing and we had difficulties getting in touch with both Delilah and the underwritter Meghann. We felt as if we were being ignored. We received checks made out to our credit card company that wasn't discussed during underwriting and closing and no one was able to assist. We were met with radio silence.

The level of communication was very subpar. I am used to getting a response from my lenders when I call or email. I am used to getting updates as we progress through the process. The only line of communication I had was through my buyer who had to contact the processor! Normally, in my experience the loan officer and I stay in close contact to elevate stress for the buyer. The only positive thing I can think of with this deal was that it closed and a lower credit score wasn’t a problem.

It took from January to September to close a loan of $1ooK. We were passed on from person to person, as if our time and money did not matter. Every time we went into closing there was always something incomplete or something Jenny Mitchell forgot to inform us about; additional costs were always incurred. Appraisals expired, rates locked in were expired by the time this loan was closed.NOT WHAT WE EXPECTED FROM NEW AMERICAN after a great experience with Bruce Schwalb with our primary residence

When I first started my experience i was blown away with the communication and service provided, over time that changed completely. I recieved 2 loan estimates at first, by the time my loan disclosure came the cost had tripled! Kat never contacted me to explain why or give me a heads up. All I got was an email to sign a unexpected amount. This became a trend, finding out most of what I had been told was wrong, many unexpected costs and changes. I had to literally BEG for a call back by the end.
