The experience started off great, you guys called me to start the loan, called every few days to get the info that you needed explained where we were then y’all fell off. Communication stopped, if I did not email I got nothing. Was told back in September this process takes 60 days and it took 120 days. Y’all blamed COVID. As I explained to you, I have friends that did this same process and the started after me and closed before us.

When things first started we had loads of communication. But once it was delayed I only got responses back when I initiated communication. And delays weren’t really explained as to the reasons. We just had to hold tight and wait till I asked again for an update. Once everything was finalized and we had signed documents. I wasn’t contacted again to tell me anything. I had to send an email to say we had signed and what happens next.

I refinanced my existing loan with New American and was hoping to have it closed by December but the loan did not close until January. I started the refi process on October 17th so I felt the process took longer than it should have, otherwise everything else went smoothly.

Unfortunately the transaction had a lot of difficulty due to lack of attention to detail which would have been easily avoided if more attention was paid to the terms of the purchase agreement and other documentation/information provided.

1 - No proper handoff between Zachary and Mary Barreto. Huge time in the middle with not getting any indication of what was going on or what was wrong. 2 - I submitted all documents immediately when asked, yet this took two months to fund the loan, that is much longer than I was able to get with Quicken loans. 3 - Your technology is sorely lacking! That secure "portal" is poor (you can't even see history). You can't find a link to portal anywhere but the email you got early in the process
