Very poor response. It takes multiple emails/messages/calls to get a response. I have requested 5 times via text/email/phone for a 2nd refi, atleast tell me that you do not want to do it!

Communication was lacking overall with us, our realtor and our attorney. We were asked for the same information multiple times. It seemed like Stuart let the processor "run with it" and was not overseeing the process. Also, while the level of detial and scrutiny is understood during this time, his tone and defensiveness as we were going thru an emotional stressful time was unacceptable. He did not seem invested in what is the biggest purchase we will ever make. And we are repeat customers.

While our experience with D&K mortgage was satisfactory, I cannot say the same about our loan officer. Not only us, but she was difficult to work with our realtor or title company too where we received several complaints about her way of conducting the communication. On top of it, she gave us a very deceiving advice which in the end she refused to take the responsibility of. Now we have to bear the burden of 2 mortgages costing us 10K a month, just because we trusted Lina.

It was disorganized , chaotic. Mr Filzen became rough and aggressive with me twice. I felt it was an attempt to bully me .

Inaccurate information was passed from one person to the next. Paperwork was continually inaccurate. The process took 5 months. We were quoted 2.5%, but he didn't lock in the rate so we ended up with 3.375%. We were supposed to refinance an investment property, too, and then couldn't because, as I understand it, the market took a dive and Fannie Mae freaked out and significantly lowered the percentage of secondary homes and investment properties they would finance, so we lost out on that refi.

Better (or any) personal communication from Todd regarding timing and expectations. All of the emails received from Todd felt like marketing material with no personal connection. Over the phone, it felt like Todd was talking AT me, rather than two people having a conversation; he did not listen. It seemed like he was so busy that he felt that he needed to rush through the conversation, or that he felt working with me was inconvenient. I interpreted his communication style down-right rude at times. Despite the fact that I would NEVER refer a friend to Todd Gehrke, I think it is really important to acknowledge that Debbie Hager was extremely pleasant and helpful. She was wonderful, and I really appreciated her involvement during the last couple of weeks before the home loan closing. If she would have been involved the entire time, I suspect this survey would have very different results. Her personal communication skills are a significant asset to your Company.

Very little communication from Mark, and towards the end he wouldn’t even answer or return my calls. Christy, kept asking for the same information over and over again, which was frustrating. I was told things are much harder now due to covid, which I understand. However, I also financed my personal home at the same time and had no where near The issues. Overall I was very disappointed in the whole process and will look elsewhere when purchasing the next duplex.
