I still have no answer as to why I had to spend an extra $150 for a rush fee. I only found out that I had to put 25% down 3 business days before the transaction. And the paperwork was so late to the title company that we had to go in 5 hours later than planned. This also happened with our last loan, and I'm disappointed given that this is our third loan with NAF. We'll be shopping elsewhere next time.

This was an extremely slow process and we had to reschedule our closing twice. We sent in all requested info same day, but had to reach out for updates on our loan progress.

misleading communication that boarder on lying. Our close was delayed due to lack of preparation on the side of the NAF. We repeatedly requested no point be put on the loan and received points on the loan all the way until the last day (ignoring our requests). Once NAF was locked in as our loan officer we never heard form the team regarding updated disclosures until the very last minute and that disclosure had major errors with multiple numbers being incorrect.

After all of the mistakes and miscommunications, George would never listen or accept responsibility. He caused the very able and sophisticated buyers undue worry and problems. I asked him not to attend the closing and he did. He said he needed to make sure everything was signed properly. He even failed at that. The borrowers had to return to sign something George said not to. I did have to finally ask him to leave the closing room--could not contain my anger towards him. He will never admit that this loan barely closed and only because borrower is a mortgage loan officer at this company and was able to find the mistakes in the file. When you tell a borrower that the loan is approved and that message is passed on to all parties only to find out approved with conditions--that is incompetence. George would not return borrowers phone calls for extended periods. In 45 years as a real estate broker, George is the worst loan officer I have encountered. It is a day after the closing and I am still seething that he thought he was welcome at the closing.
