Since we started in September I have never jumped through so many hoops. It seemed like I was doing a lot of leg work. It was not up to me to get estimates and get tie downs done. It took 4 months to complete this re-finance. It has not been the best experience. Have had other re-finances done and it has not been this bad at all.

I felt unnecessary pressure to close on a day convenient to everyone but me. Everyone, I mean everyone, acted as if no one had ever taken this loan (reduced from 30 to 15 years) in fact, the paperwork stated "cash out" when in fact it was the opposite, a large amount of cash in. I was told that we would be allowed to miss a payment during the process,. Not true. As for this survey, we closed back in September? Thanks for opening old wounds.

My personal experience was not all bad, however I did not feel like there was enough communication. I was not privy to info until the last minute and in my opinion it came off as unprofessional. For a period of time I felt as though I was getting the run around. Once Mr. Hamilton and I did talk things took a immediate turn for the best! Once he and I started talking on a regular everything ran smoothly. Had this happened from the beginning, I would've surely given 5 stars instead of 3.

Brandon was great! However the underwriter was terrible. I have bought many homes in my life but I have never seen a lender ask for so many items. I would never use New American again and would not recommend them to anyone. Brandon was great, it's the underwriter and complete process that is awful
