I wish that Pam would have reached out to my client and I during the transaction for updates and not us reaching out to her for updates. She was always pleasant in communicating; however, the communication should have been more frequent and more detailed. The lack of communication could have been very costly for my client, but in a desperate attempt to salvage the transaction I reached out to a peer, Janeen Gore, at NAF. And she, was able to help us turn things around and get us closed!

Although Pam got the loan to closed, in my 41 years of practicing real estate the communications on this one was one of the worst. I had to get the onsite agent involved and that is rarely the case. I asked my clients to use New American Funding because it was a preferred lender. Pam was asking for documents the week of closing that should have been requested and analyzed early in the process. I don't often give a lender a low score; however, I hope Pam will learn from this transaction.

The communication was very poor. There were times that were weeks before a response was received and that was after I as the realtor got involved and started sending multiple emails to get a response. There was always an excuse as to why the delay in response. Both the Mortgage officer and assistant. I would not recommend a referral based on this experience.

Lender waited until last minute to clear conditions, which caused the closing to be pushed back. Lack of knowledge on the file.

In the beginning, Katie was amazing. She returned my calls promptly and answered my questions. After I entered a contract on my home (new construction), the communication dwindled. I would email and send her texts repeatedly with no response. Eventually I had to involve my realtor, but then she would only respond to him. I kept sending emails and texts and eventually she would have her assistant reach out to me. I have not physically spoken to her since October, which was incredibly frustrating.
