Rayan failed to answer my emails and phone calls for almost 2 weeks! It left me wondering who was handling my business and if even she was OK, I believe she was on vacation and forgot about me., Luckily the loan processor gut, Isaac, was great and he returned all of my calls and made me feel helped. Rayan finally contacted me after I left a vm for her boss. In the end the transaction was a success, but it definitely could have been handled more professionally.

Lack of communication multiple times, we had delays and I had to find out from my real estate agent before anyone from the office told me. It started off great but the rope was dropped pretty quickly. Had lots of heartbreaks with this, however we did finish and we are moved so that helps.

Process not handled as originally agreed. When we try to address the issue on the back end, was not met with compassion or sincere apology for their teams lack of communication. Would cancel this process if we were able to.

We spent a lot of time talking to Khalil in the beginning of the process and the duration of the time we were waiting to close on the loan. We were told for weeks that we “would have the clear to close today”. We felt there was a lot of miscommunication between our agent and the lenders. At closing, we had to wait for almost an hour for Khalil’s office to approve the transaction. They also wanted further documentation and explanations AFTER getting the clear to close while sitting at closing.

This was my second time refinancing with New American. My first experience was terrible but I wanted to give Khalil and New American another chance. This time was not much different. The communication and listening between loan officer and support staff (processing and underwriting departments) with\to the customer needs to significantly improve. What should have been done in one month took almost three. I would not recommend this company and this will be the last refinance I do with them.
