This review is not specific to the loan officer but about my overall experience The good: - The initial application intake process was smooth and quick. - Appraisal was waived (for my re-finance that is) - which saved money & time - While the process took really long, they did give me a bit of (meaningful) credit in the end (reduced points) after I complained about the delay The not-so-good - Process took excruciatingly long and updates were hard to get. 3months to close a straightforward

After the initial application/doc submittal stage, communication was basically non existent. I was initially given a 45 day timeline for closing, which turned into more than 60 days. I never received any progress updates except for the one time I requested one (sent two emails) and was simply told "everything is progressing as planned".

We hate to compare consultants, however Paul Schepke our initial consultant was Awesome. Maybe this rating was because he communicated with us on the phone often and kept us abreast during the earlier part of the process. Now, don't misunderstand us, Tony was a true professional and moved us on through the final stages of the process.

Tony was very quick to respond when we first started the process of buying our house. But after we signed his initial paperwork he would only respond to some of the questions in my emails to him and he told me he would schedule the revisit by the appraiser but never did. It was not until Serei started helping us that things started coming together. She was able to answer all my questions, always followed through on what she said she would do and was always very quick to respond.

I’m not sure the process of completing a home loan can be “memorable”. Overall, it was an acceptable experience. Communication could have been better at times when we had an issue with the appraisal but at the end of the day you met our closing deadline and thats really what matters.

I have never spoke with Kevin Fox. My banker was Andrew Phillips who I’m assuming left the organization mid way through my loan process and then Kevin was attached to the loan, but again never had contact with him so this survey is not a fair representation of Kevin or his skills. Marilyn the processor on the other hand was absolutely amazing and a pleasure to work with. She was always quick to respond, never tried to pass the blame, and made me feel like she had my back the whole time.
