I feel that New American Funding did nothing to earn my business as I went to them to refinance my home loan. I imagine they made quite a bit of money off this refinance and they couldn’t even come to the closing which is in the same building as the title company. I was and am not impressed! And I doubt that Sara Evens and Kris Hans never even got a thank you for their referral. Pauli Rike

We were unhappy from the service provided by Dave Hohe and NAFINA. Originally I was quoted a low rate (2.79) and signed a loan estimate on that rate. A month later, on the loan commitment date, without any notice, I received by email a form to sign that I agree that my rate will go up to 3.10. No explanations given. Dave did not take any responsibility for the error or explain. This was a frustrating experience.

The communication was lacking and pretty much non existing. I would leave voice-mail and emails, would never get a response. Never knew what was going on. I feel the process took way longer than it should have. I referred a friend to the company. She had all her stuff done in a month. I started this process in December and just finished in March. I just wish they communicated better to let me know whats going on. The company isn't bad, I just think I got a dud.

It’s sad to say as a first time home buyer, I was looking for someone to sit with me, explain the process and to assure me of my decisions, after all I was completely new at this. Communication was a major barrier in my loan process, I was disappointed and very frustrated. I work with the public everyday, sometimes all it takes is a little time to explain and listen, it makes a big difference in the lives of people we served. I will be forever grateful for the work put in by all parties.??

Better communication would have been great. But mostly it was just all the mistakes that were made. From beginning to end, little errors, or oversights kept coming up. The process should have taken 2 months, but it took about 6 months. Over and Over again, i was told, "we just need this One last thing", then 3 weeks later, "Ok, we just need you to give us this one last thing, we have an approval, but just need this last thing". Then again, the next month, well, now we are waiting for Title. :-(

Poor and misleading communication - first payment was due in April when James told us it would be due in May. Lack of updates despite other companies reaching out to us (notary, escrow, our own HOA) throughout closing. Notary noted extreme sloppiness and inconsistency in their paperwork and we're concerned about the need to re-sign. Frustrating deflection of these concerns by over-emphasizing the terms of the new loan. Still don't have payment info less than 2 weeks away from first payment due.

I've worked with many lenders over the years. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had. No one seemed to know what was going on or could keep us up to date on progress. We had no sense of who was in charge. We had requests to backdate documents, numbers were wrong even at closing, despite asking for confirmation hours before. Just awful.
