Julie Yassa helped us during the initial phase of collecting information and providing us with a quote for the loan. While following up with her closer to our closing date, she reassured us everything was in order. When we didn’t hear about our loan approval we followed up and was met with hostility. Julie said that we may have to postpone our closing as they weren’t done with approval process the last business day before closing even though we provided all the paperwork weeks in advance.

Drew was great the first three weeks of the application process. He answered all of my phone calls and then something happened. We are not sure why he stopped answering our calls, emails or any attemp to reach him. We were very frustrated. We Don't understand why after 90 days we had to start a new loan application. It was tough to get into contact with people and I never knew who I was supposed to be talking to. When I did talk to multiple people, I got different responses, answers, and information each time. The process was extremely difficult as a first time home buyer and I felt helpless. On top of that, the dollar amount changed substantially every single time. If it weren't for my real estate agent, I would have been extremely frustrated with the entire process. She was also very unimpressed.

Better communication once we got closer to the closing process. Everything in the beginning was awesome, but once Steffany took over things became crazy.

My loan process was full of errors and delays. From initial contact it too almost 6 months to get a Refi from NAF. I had to personally start contacting VP's to make sure things were done right. Although everyone was very nice, I feel like I would have had a much better experience going with a local lender.

Communication is key!!! Initially David was on top of things but after the first loan discussion & #s any add’l questions asked of David were ignored. For 3d I left repeated voicemails & emails regarding the final #s & David did not respond to any of them. Despite David’s unprofessional lack of communication, we decided to continue with the refi. All I can say is check, check & check the #s. Words are just words if not backed by documentation. READ your loan docs thoroughly.

It agent was more responsive. Only stuck to what he had to tell you and did not go above and beyond. Would not reply unless it was automated emails advising to do the next steps.

Probably taking my refinance to another lender all together. This was a refinance from a previous mortgage I already have with you guys my first experience was great this experience was horrible!!! . As soon as I can I will be moving my mortgage from New American Funding. I feel like I was baited and switched especially on the HELOC. I did not get all the information that I requested and it bit me in the butt. I relied on professionals like Chris to give me helpful advice but I guess I was wron.
