Unanswered emails from both Wayne and the underwriting left me frustrated. Multiple calls and also no returned calls were a headache. When I went to close MY WIFE'S NAME WAS WRONG ON THE PAPERWORK. They used her middle name as her first after not even knowing or receiving her middle name from me! Then before closing, the Closing Cost I had signed and approved were +$762 off from actual closing cost. I would never recommend this mortgage company to friends or family. EVER.

Total drop off in communication towards the end of the deal. Never received appropriate documentation. The 1st time I never received a loan commitment on a deal I closed. The title company also expressed frustration with this lender and their lack of communication.

We have used New American Funding 3 times in the past with a different agent. Our agent was not available for this transaction so we were referred to Scott. Our biggest issue was the lack of communication and lack of willingness to explain the loan process and steps as we went through the transaction. We received 1 email updating us that we had progressed to step 2 and then never received a follow up step progression. We also never even received a phone call that our loan had funded.

This process was bad there was no communication, lack of where I was at during the whole process witch took way to long. I was not happy with the end result the money back was wrong, and the payment was different. I had to call & email many times to find out what was going on. At the end of the painful process NEW AMERICAN should have people in place to take great care of there customers. This is one of the biggest processes in peoples lives.

I was bounced around to 3 loan personnel, who obviously didn't take notes as I had to answer the same inquiries multiple time. The Loan personnel would go silent for a month, then ask for a ton of documentation, then go away for another month. This loan took 7 months to close from start to finish. Every time I thought we were done I was asked for more documentation, more proof that I that I would be able to pay off the loan in the future. >740 credit, 60% LTV, just incredible, Never Again.

There was an overall lack of communication during our loan process that caused unnecessary and added stress to an already stressful process. Many pieces were said to be finalized before they were actually finalized. Rates changes and key elements of the loan changed after we were told they were locked and final.
