I prefer a smaller, local bank. Started off great and then minimal communication at the end. I even had a call days after the closing saying the appraisal was in and we were good lol. We had already closed! Jesse was very nice and polite each and every time I spoke with him. Very professional. Thanks Jesse!

Everything was smooth until the closing. We drove 40 minutes to close, but were notified that the closing documents were not ready. We had to meet again a few days later and the closing documents were wrong. They were fixed and we were able to close that day. We had a lot of trouble with the closing part when we closed on a refinance last time also with New American Funding.

Overall Michael did a good job however other supporting team members really dropped the ball at critical times causing us a lot of hardship and unnecessary headaches. Communication should have been better. Michael did what he could and pulled in other team members in an effort to get this deal done but the overall experience was not what we deserve or expected.

Overall, the service was fine, and the closing costs were low compared to other lenders. It took three months to close, which is understandable during COVID. We just did not receive very much proactivecommunication during the whole process. If Chris added “ticklers” every 1-2 weeks to update on the status, the it would have been five stars. Again, our overall experience was good!

When I first talked to Chris he seemed very knowledgeable and helpful as I told him about the bad experience I had just been through. After this initial call however he was not very responsive. I had to reach out to him to find out what the status of the loan was a few times and felt as if he was bothered both times.
