This was a difficult file, however I don’t feel Troy had a full grasp of the underwriting guidelines from the beginnning which forced several changes to be made to the loan along the way causing closing delays. Communication was awful until the very last few days. Underwriting looked at the file up front and should have caught “unrelated coborrower” and other issues that came up along the way. I’ve never had a transaction go this badly and hope I never do again.

This is the worst loan process I have experienced in my life. There were too many delays in the closing process due to repeatedly asking for paperwork work I have already submitted and asking to run my credit constantly. This process took about 3 months to close. The seller, my attorney, the title company, and I were thrown off by there handling of this process. I believe this was delayed due to the seller and I's race. If I had to do it all over again it wouldn't be with New American

I had a great experience with Mary Westlake until she left. Once Stephen took over things got confusing, unorganized and the communication level went down. I was charged for an extension and was told that the reason was because the appraisal was ordered too early. That obviously is not my fault but we were charged anyways. Overall, I am unsatisfied with my experience and would not work with Stephen Farmer again.

Unfortunately the communication with me he was terrible. I know in the beginning I think my buyer had some communication with Heather, but I had no communication the entire time.

Our deal did not close the way it should have. We'll need to jump through some hoops to straighten everything out over the next few weeks. Someone screwed up our home equity line of credit. The communication breakdown just before closing was terrible.
