She was bad at returning calls, it would take several days sometimes. I was not asked for the specific bank document to supply to the underwriter, once that had been done the loan moved quickly to a close. Overall time was 4 months. Communication was the downfall. We found out about a delay in closing three days before closing. The only way we found out was ASKING. That fact is pretty reflective of the whole experience. We never felt like the lender totally had things under control.

This file was moving along nicely until the end. The updates we received were things are good & we will close on time. Hours before closing, we were informed closing would not occur as scheduled. As the buyer's agent, I called the buyers assuming they already knew but they were not made aware. I was the one who informed them of the delay. Once we were delayed returned phone calls & updates where hard to get. I was extremely disappointed with the process and level of communication. Megan B.

This is my third loan with New American and worst experience. Communication is a big deal to myself and Chris Moore was bad at getting back to me. Sometimes as much as waiting a week for an answer. So glad this re-fi is over, a little bit of a nightmare. Where is Larry Laverne gone tooooooo.

Process took forever. Closing date was pushed back multiple times with little to no explanation. Would highly recommend using any other lender possible.

I should of been asked for all the documents required i. The beginning not piece by piece. I should of been called or emailed to be updated. Jonathan was lacks in returning my emails and phone calls. It was a total nightmare and extremely stressful. I was charged for rate extension fees that weren't my fault as well as added points on the back end when I requested a mortgage rate comparable to other offers I recieved. It took over 2 and a half months to finally be approved. Too many delays.
