We were not pleased with the service we received. One of the main reasons was the fact that our contact said "not only will you be losing out, I will be losing out as well" and on another occassion I said to him that I may not refinance through NAF and he said "I hope you understand I've invested a lot of hours on your loan". Overall it was just very unpleasant. My husband and I both said that if we refinance again it will not be with NAF.

Better communication on the fact that I would have to pay a closing fee. I was told by David on numerous occasions I would owe nothing at closing. Then on my actually closing day when I was signing my paperwork I was then informed at that time. That is not how I should have been informed. I was never told there was even a possibility of owing anything at closing and then had to rush around to wire the money.

Communication was terrible, not Ashley in particular but throughout the entire refinance process. I started this process in May and didn’t close until 2 days before Christmas. Would not recommend New American after this experience.

Hi - New American Funding dragged its feet on verifying my loan despite me getting in all my documents on time. This caused the costs and points to go up significantly. Despite proving that this was not my fault, Mark repeatedly said sorry nothing I can do after checking with his higher ups. Mark was very responsive at the beginning but then completely disappeared off the radar when I needed answers on trying to get the costs reduced. I almost canceled my loan.

Antwaun was pleasant to talk to seems like a good person. It would have been nice to get weekly or semiweekly updates on our refinance status. It would have been also nice to have better communication from Antwaun. I had to be asking via email on our status and at times got no replies to our emails. A better more personal service would be nice.

The ball as dropped in every way possible. The DAY BEFORE closing is when the client, title company and real estate agent was informed that the loan was being denied and that they would not be closing. They said they did not receive paperwork from the condominium, appraiser and insurance company, however, I believe they did indeed have all the inform needed after all becasue they posted received later that day. We had to get two extensions for closing. A very poor experience.
