Naomi started out ok With communication and close to the end of the mortgage process it went down hill Every time I called her they said she was in a meeting and she will return my call, she never did. Only communicate by email only.

He had poor communication with us. He's schedule would be hard to work with. Makes excuses for every little thing. Also made us redo paperwork in multiple occasions for him and his teams fault.

Damien did not communicate with us through the process. He left it up to others. He did not answer my emails or call me back when requested. He did not go over important information with us, he did not discuss numbers. We kept getting different amounts at the last minute because he wouldn't communicate with us. If it wasn't for other people stepping in to do his job for him we wouldn't have a house right now. Awful experience working with him.

Clear communication/transparency, more training/be prepared, set proper expectations. As a novice home owner, it seemed like it we were working with new employees. I questioned whether I was being scammed multiple times during this process. I questioned whether they really wanted to give us this loan or whether they want our business. Although, our closing was delayed one business day, there were 3 instances that directly impacted our closing date. I feel all 3 of those issues could have been avoided had the people we were dealing with were better prepared, were transparent, and set proper expectations in the beginning.

We were sent items to sign before anything was explained to us. Kara was hard to get in touch with initially so Ryan finally stepped in to help with communication. It seemed like some documents were sent very last minute as our Broker was waiting on us to give them the final numbers from New American. I definitely would not refer anyone at this point. We only new American because we got a credit with our builder but if that wasn’t the case we would have used our previous lender. We had a much better experience and communication when we used Bell bank for our last home mortgage.

The underwriting process was awful, no reason why I should have provided so much enough to not only not get approved but to have another team approved it in less than a day????

In the beginning Nolan was great, but once Jordyn started working on my file I didn’t get much communication from him even when messaging him to ask for updates. I shared information with Nolan about details on my file in regards to something on my credit and he did not share this information any further. This same item then became an issue and caused a delay in closing. Had this information been shared and taken into consideration originally we would have avoided the delay.
