I closed 2 weeks ago. As of today, None of my credit card payments have been received! I was never told that the title company would issue checks. In this age of technology, who mails checks to credit cards? had I been told this, I would have requested payment to my account, and I would have paid all the cards online. I have had payments on the cards this month since they were not paid by my loan, and I am now responsibl;e fdpr a loan that has NOPT BEEN DISBURSED!!!! I am very unhappy! and I am filing a complainT

This process was more difficult than it had to be. As an existing customer, this should have been much easier. Each time we had a discussion, the price of points on the loan went up. We got no benefit by staying with New American. Communication was difficult and convoluted. Instead of a straight rate and term refi, it felt like I was being taken advantage of. Next time, I will find a loan officer that will take a phone call and communicate. When I worked with Craig before he left, I had his cell phone and could reach out to him. I'll find Craig for my next home loan.

Zero communication led to issues with the loan and closing date. Closing date had to be extended and still was not ready on time, had to be extended again but all docs were not sent To title company and buyer was out of state by then so had to sign papers with a mobile notary and then package was delayed with shipping company. Not a pleasant experience for local title company, realtor, buyer or seller.

Neither Scott nor Dedra gave us a sense of confidence that they understood had control of the process. They would seemingly randomly request documents and other sensitive information from us that we had either already submitted or was never actually needed from the underwriters, or was long after the time they should have asked for it (such as after the original planned closing date). We were unable to close on our original date because Scott was unaware of the NAF office closing time on Friday Dec 19, then was delayed again on the new date, costing us nearly an additional $1000 in moving charges because we had to hold the movers for extra time. Our realtor, who has been doing this for 20+ years, said frankly this was the worst experience he had ever had with a lender or loan officer and highly advised us to refinance with a difference company and never recommend NAF to others.

At the beginning, the communication and teamwork was great. Then he disappeared from the transaction all the way through closing.

There was a tremendous lack of communication. My client closed six days past his closing date. I made sure to get seller credit to help this first time buyer with closing cost since he didn't have a ton of cash on hand. His closing costs were significantly more than Dylan said they would be. I think that communication would have made this transaction go so much smoother for everyone. I had started referring clients to Dylan. I will no longer be doing that.
