Appraisal was wrong! I had 2 previous appraisals including the finished basement, suddenly I’m told finished basement doesn’t count for square footage! BS!!! Too late so had to close to get the rate I was promised now I have to pay BS PMI for 5 years!

I have done 5 deals in the last 6 months or so. Over a million dollars. I have to say that this is the worse experience I had when it comes to financing properties. I will never work with your company again. Very disappointed along the whole process. The communication was terrible, the deadlines were never met. The team added more problems to the transaction that didn't exist. I am done with this company. Never again.

Clayton would do his clients better if he returned emails and phone calls. If I knew of his tardiness and lack of care to return messages, I would have re-thought my use of American Funding prior to using them.

On two separate occasions Bob sent unsecure e-mails to me that contained sensitive information including my social security number. I warned him after the first occurrence and yet he did it again a second time. When I explained to him just how severe this was he gave me the impression he does this frequently with other clients without any issue. I find this completely irresponsible and negligent and absolutely unacceptable.

Found the interactions with Lynette difficult. Closing on my refi took 3 months for some reason. No one prepared me for how long the process would take. Very little by way of updates once they had my business. A few times i had to resubmit info that i previously submitted due to mismanagement. That said, the rate was good. If you're patient and expectations are not high for customer service, it's fine.

The communication was poor. Never really new what was going on and why certain info was needed. Our situation was a little unique and i felt left out of the process. Could have had more contact , I am in customer service so I may be more critical.
