Although Matt help me obtain an important document required for closing, I felt there was a lack of communication on several occasions. As well as he was unavailable during my closing and I was left to read and sign all documents.

All involved dropped the ball on keeping me updated on the progress. After close to six months I had to email the President of the company to light a fire under all involved to finally get refinance closed. Six months was way to long for the process.

Our initial loan officer was very responsive and helpful. I was disappointed when he was unexpectedly gone for the foreseeable future and we were assigned a new person. Both our initial officer and his manager were very helpful.

Switched agents after initial application procedure. Was not told until I called to fine out what was going on. Very little follow up. Was advised that the company had been overwhelmed with applications i should just be patient. Lack of communication unless I reached out to see what the status was., Emails late at night asking for quick answers Duplicate paper work and requests for information All in all not a good experience. ,

I had left at least three messages with Sam and none of them were ever returned. Our interactions started out great, even pleasant. But getting ahold of him after that initial phone call was next to impossible. The only time he called me back was when I went around him and talked to other people. I get it people are busy, but I was one day away from cancelling the entire deal since no one would return my phone calls. I will not recommend New American and I will likely also inform the VA.
