While we are aware that there were many factors associated with our loan, we often felt kept in the dark. Our questions often went unanswered and felt glossed over. Communication was unclear. It felt as though there were many people involved in the process and their lack of organization and intercommunication effected our experience. At the end of the day, we we moved into our new home and are happy.

I had an issue with the loan lock period. I was told by my lender that we would lock in when I had an accepted offer on a property. He neglected to remind me that once I was under contract, I should lock the rate. Not certain who is responsible for pulling that trigger, but seems to me if the lender is looking out for my best interests, he might give a friendly reminder!

We were unhappy from the service provided by Dave Hohe and NAFINA. Originally I was quoted a low rate (2.79) and signed a loan estimate on that rate. A month later, on the loan commitment date (a week before closing), without any notice, I received by email a form to sign that I agree that my rate will go up to 3.10. No explanations given. Apparently, they either decided not to lock the initial rate (without consulting me) or neglected to lock it. Dave did not take any responsibility for the mistake at any time or try to explain what happened. Dave's response was "it's just $25 a month" (which comes up to $9000 total). Only after we contacted the CEO of the company directly we were able to lower the rate to 2.99, but it was too late in the process to change companies. We were really frustrated from the experience. The eventual closing fees were also higher than originally estimated. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars and not 1 is because his team was courteous and did their job on time, however, I do not recommend.

Corey for the most part was fine. My issue was that not a single person read my appraisal, until 12 hours before I was to close. Therefore, no one informed me, my realtor, or the selling agent that we needed to install a handrail in order to close on time. My realtor even specifically asked if the appraiser noted anything that needed to be done in the house, and we were told ‘no, looks fine’. This delayed my closing by a week and cost me an extra $1,500 in hotel and ‘re-inspection’ fees.

Very slow to respond. Often took many emails and texts before hearing back. When he would respond he would rarely know the answers.
