Such a disappointment when my clients decided to go with New American Funding. Loan Officer Scott Sheedy went MIA, multiple messages to his manager Kip went unanswered, last minute conditions were put on by underwriting. As a realtor, I strive to offer the best possible service and be readily available to my folks....New American Funding was just the opposite. For buyers, there are many other options...stay clear of New American Funding.

Communication with Diana Lombard was spotty at best. On 8/8, I received an email from Brenda Carlin after trying to find out what was taking so long. The opening of the email said "I apologize for the delay Mr. Hurtado, Diana is no longer with New American Funding." Yet, we continued to receive emails from Diana Lombard. I would not use New American Funding again. Furthermore, I would advise any of my friends or family to use a different company.

We were given inaccurate information. Our original loan offer bore very little resemblance to our actual loan. Without constant follow up on our part, next steps were not taken causing to process to take 4 extra weeks.

Worst loan officer I have ever dealt with. Be ready for misleading information. Or an excuse. Their won’t be any straight forward answers here.

Everyone was condescending, unprofessional, and no one seemed to know what they were doing. Also, they blamed the EXTREMELY late closing date on us. They didn't do anything on time, and it was a HORRIBLE experience. New employees at the company would make it better.

I tried avoiding filling out this survey so I didn't have to deal with it, but since I keep getting pestered about this very unpleasant experience, I may as well just vent. Ms. Lee is unresponsive and uninformative. I would go as far as venturing to say deceitful. For example, for a while my rate was 4.375%. Then, all of a sudden it went up to 4.5%. I asked her about it and she said it could be brought back down. In the end, we closed at 4.5% without a clear explanation why the rate went up.
