Other members of the company I dealt with. Not Zain. Zain was great. Too many hands in the cookie jar and lack of communication and help for a first time home buyer. Zain=good the rest of them= terrible.

Response of communication could've been better. When they needed something it needed to be instantaneous, but when we requested an update it could take 2-3 days or longer before we received information.

New American is the absolute WORST. I wish I had access to a media outlet where I can tell everyone in the world NOT to use your bank. Danielle was nice. Its unfortunate she works for such a crappy bank. You all messed up my escrow, it doesnt look like I have homeowners insurance, you overpaid credit cards even after I told you I had already paid them off. it took 3 MONTHS to close. Ridiculous. Marcell was helpful, but took a leave from the office at the beginning of the process. It was Shawn Brown who worked with us through the entire process. She did an excellent job as it seemed Spring EQ did not know what they were doing. Shawn followed up on everything, otherwise, I am not sure the loan would have been processed.

Jose was a great communicator, respectful, he was always available, and a hard worker. I was offered a great rate compared to other lenders. HOWEVER, there was an error on the documents to lock in this great rate with my wife having the incorrect last name despite it being very clear in all the documents we had to submit throughout this process (I had also previously corrected her last name early on in the preapproval stage). This issue was not fixed until the next day at which point I was told the rate had increased and I would not be able to get the rate I was promised because the document would be voided with an incorrect name. This seemed unethical to me and many others I told this to, but I decided to continue on with NAF because I had told the other lenders that I was going with someone else. The close date also changed daily ranging as early as 10/29 all the way to 11/8 and was told to change my insurance rate (which I did) and the next day was told to change it back to the original date that I had told them. Then after making an appointment to sign documents with the notary agent, he called me to say that the date had changed once again to a day earlier. These documents contained errors, some of which we caught that night, but the other was discovered after signing and we will have to sign these documents again. Overall there were many mistakes on the end of NAF that costed my wife and I time and a lot of money, yet we have received ABSOLUTELY ZERO compensation. I doubt this falls all on Jose, but my overall experience with NAF was very unpleasant.

I think there was a lot of miscommunication and back and forth between myself Scott and Heather that made this a less then pleasant experience. I felt like I was in the middle trying to bridge communication between these two about stuff I did not clearly understand. It didn't feel like the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing or asking for.
