While I understand that there are many moving parts to this process, I feel that I had to beg for information. I constantly heard how our manager and staff were :working 7 days a week" or "Working 24 hours a day". If this is the case, the firm needs more staff or to take on less clients. I paid two late fees to my mortgage company because we didn't close, or were going to close and did not. I was told this process takes 55 days. This was a simple straightforward loan.

Jordyn was awful. She threw major attitude at me and my wife for asking questions we have every right to ask for such a purchase as a home. Sometimes I would be more informed and aware of certain details more than someone whose job it is to guide and inform ME. Completely disconnected sense of communication as she would ask or answer things either directly differing from what she told us earlier or in conflict with Katie’s answers. Katie was very quick and thorough in her responses and general correspondence at the beginning of the process. As we moved further along, this dropped drastically. The sense of urgency was lost, many times me and my wife would proactively ask NAF team what we needed or could start to work on beginning of the weeks, because it seemed as if any and all updates or requests for docs would come Friday end of day.

When I moved to find and purchase a home in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the challenges, constraints, and limitations imposed included a purely remote home loan process, that is between myself as applicant and New America Funding, from origination to funding; this was in line with my expectations entering into it at such a tragic time. However, I don't feel that the novel challenges of this time, with regard to its potential effects on comm. and service, were navigated diligently.
