NEW AMERICAN FUMBLING We had to sign closing papers 3 separate times! All because of typos. The typos were not corrected because of a complete and total lack of communication within their own system. They do have some employees that really try and that really care though.

communication was excellent until it came time to close. I did not appreciate being told on more than one occasion the loan was "CLEAR to Close" when it was in fact Not.

Scott Bernell was fantastic- extremely helpful and knowledgeable and returned calls and e-mails promptly. However, the document processor was terrible. I had to resend documents that he clearly lost (or forgot were sent). This caused a delay, my rate lock expired and I was charged hundreds of dollars extra for the loan. Very frustrating experience.

They are not readily accessible and offer incentives that they don’t deliver once the loan application process has been started and is too late to change lenders.

Excellent mortgage rate and top-notch support from our representative, but inefficiency and/or sloth on the part of one employee stretched out the process to four months!

The process took longer than I expected. There was a whole issue with a pay off my daughter did on her car. It was just one thing after another. I understand this is government money. But the fact that we kept going round and round about providing proof of how the car was paid off. Was a head ache it itself. I was way to invested in this already if I would know it was gonna be such a hassle I would of waited another month for my credit score to in crease and my daughter's car to show paid off. I litterly was to the point that I wanted to cancel everything.. I am still waiting for 3 payments to ne paid off after the closing.
