First time home buyers, there's some important details that we did not knew and make the process more stressful at the end. Elizabeth was really good at guiding us through the process but sometimes she gave us a lot information that we didn't really need it and we did not had other vital info. Margie in the other hand... we were back and forth with the same info at the end of the process.

It took, in my estimation, way too long to complete escrow. I understand reverse mortgages can take longer than conventional ones, but there seemed to be unnecessary delays in the process particularly as it relates to receiving and processing of information from the HOA by the lender. HOA information needed by underwriting could not be found in a reasonable amount of time and caused unnecessary delays. In all, from offer acceptance to close of escrow took over 50 days and cost me $2900 in rent back costs and made the escrow process too long, too costly and worst of all too stressful. I can not in good conscience say I would recommend Newamerican Funding.

I received communications from the different people for different things. Emails came with their name as the sender and I ignored them at first because I wasn't told to expect them. I was asked by Sarah to provide documents I know I already provided through the loan portal. Overall, I felt that some communications could have been better. During the process I received a call from a sales person offering to refinance my current mortgage that I have with NAF. He didn't know I was in the process of selling and buying.
